Can someone tell me what is the alternate for providing birth Certificate I have one in Hindi.
I heard that you need a translation in english for birth certificates in foreign language. I am not sure where to obtain the translation for the certificate. Probably the attorney should be able to tell this.

Did you notice any LUD? I noticed soft LUD just now, but nothing in case status. Check this thread (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/forum5-all-other-green-card-issues/1599300-action-item-for-i485-transferred-case-members.html). I had to do submit AR-11 for no reason. Not sure whether LUD is because of that.

I truly believe, though IV's efforts can impact a little bit, they have to join other organizations to strengthen the efforts and results.
As I said before, IV should step up for EB3-I/C/ROW cause since policies seem to be working in favor of other EBs (which is good) but EB3 is stuck..
Here are some paths to consider.
1. IV has established relationships with some key politicians through the advocacy days, may be that channel can work
or
2. Allow interfiling with spouse
or
3. Allow folks to file I-485 for an approved I-140 even if the dates are not current
or
4. Have an endless EAD and AP (by endless I mean 5 years)
or
5. Recapture (Tie it to a bill...eg Zoe Lofgren or Feigngold will not sign Finance reform bill unless lost EB visas are recaptured). It will help EB2 folks as well. Give Feingold a call, he is voting no on Finance reform. May be he can kick in something for legal EB folks (similar to cornhusker) and may vote Yes and be the 60th vote.
What I suggest you guys to do is build upon these ideas above rather than destroy it or be sarcastic about it.

Note the letter is addressed to chertoff. So even if USCIS do not send all those documents, Chertoff will kick the butt of USCIS to "get the damn thing fixed" before it becomes a bigger issue.

I think BPC and new case PERM is same, if it is same position then employer has to withdraw the first case as of DOL new FAQ, if it different position then shouldn't have to withdraw the case, possibly audited by the DOL as of above explained rule..... If the case is audited how long it usually take DOL to decide,

LMAO. I am sorry but I disagree that Day trading is an investment. Day trading is risky business and one needs plush amounts of cash as SIPC/SEC will not release the money on the same day. Don't even get me started on the margin accounts.
It is risky FOR SURE . It is a s risky as much as Crossing road is risky for the blind
People who can see can cross with ease provided they are not careless and have good judgement

It needs time during work hours. ie 9 30 am and 4 30 pm. A lot of people did day trading during the dot com boom and recently with FRE & FNM. We know the results.
Well I am guessing your knowledge of day trading is limited to what Wikipedia has to offer. I work 9.00 5.00 Software engineer (no pun intented) And I make a decent 50-100 on the side .
While you might have taken refuge in day trading for the stress immigration has caused, it can be a serious double whammy/nightmare if the calculations go wrong.
Well Day traders that I have seen sucessful have NEVER EVER suggested to go all in. Play small play consistent
All said, if you feel that there is enough money to be made and normal Joe Bloggs can cope up with the pressure, please share your thoughts in detail.
I wanted to address this post first cause I want the notion that this is for my benefit to be outted. I have been here long and supported IV in all ways possible.

First of all...Hats off to IV for doing an incredible job !!!
My labor has been collecting dust in the Dallas BEC since 2001, my PD is Nov 2001, non-RIR. The online system still states that my case is in process. I am equally frustrated like all my fellow BEC victims, but I think there is no reason to feel left out or unhappy just because some people could jump the queue and get in front of us. The best we can do is congratulate them on their good fortune and hope that the DOL sticks to their deadline and clear all BEC cases by sep. If they miss the sep deadline (i wont be surprised if they do), I guess IV can help us in organising another flower campaign or a rally based on the recent success.
Lets keep the faith and stay the course !!!

I talked to NSC (using POJ method) and got hold of IO (I am pretty sure it was not the call center representative). He told me that my file is pre-adjudicated and it is on the way to Agent's office for final review. I think that many files are stored at off-site location and are brought back as needed / pd becomes current etc.
He said that all he can do is to wish good luck. I asked him if I will get GC this month or no? He replied that it all depends on how many visa number will be given to them by state department.
It's only day 2 but I feel that they are approving what ever file they have on their hands on. Feels like I will miss this boat too.

Even if you succeed in changing the law and change interpretation of spillover, you won't see much difference in wait for GC.
Only EB3 folks who have PD in 2002, 2003 may greatly benefit by this. Rest of EB3-I will have to wait for atleast 5-6 years.
We should instead concentrate on Visa recapture.
I am not trying to hijack this thread or dampen your efforts. Just trying to infuse some sanity here.

I sent in my OPT application on 26th of March, and it was delivered there on the 29th of March. I still haven't received a receipt and the check hasn't been cashed yet, even though it has been 4 weeks now.
Please do update me change of status. I am also facing problem with 29th March delivery.

I am jumping ahead of the situation here, but I just wanted to see what other members think/know. Assuming that the 90K visa recapture happens, It doesnt take too long for them to be used up in the current situation where there are a lot of people with labors and approved 140's (w/PERM). Not every one will have an oppurtunity to file for a new labor and file for 485. If DOS makes the PD's current / post Mar 2005, wouldn't it be unfair to people who labors are pending for 3 yrs. How does this work out in the previous recapture? HLG doesnt say about numbers being forwarded to the next year though.
HLG wants to give these 90 K to the healthcare professionals Schedule A only...So I donot know about you but I donot get anything for sure.....Even if the recapture is for all categories it would not make much difference....May be EB3 ROW would become current...and EB2 India dates would move a bit....

The recurring payment is a nice idea, however the options are limited.
For e.g. I tried to revise mine to $25 from $20, there's no option to do so.
I will probably cancel this subscription and setup one from my bank.
$25, $50, $75, $100 are ideal amounts. I don't know if PayPal charges for each subscription option you create(I would think not).
