I need your help on these issues. My labor certification was filed on October 25th 2006 and had it approved on 5th of November 2006.
Now my employer is ready to file the 1-140 together with 1-1485. My question is, I do not know whether my priority date is current for the filing of these forms.
Looking at the above filing date, can some one brief me on my likely priority date?
The other question is, even though my employer is taking the responsibilty of my filing process, I am paying all the expenses ( be it the Attorney fee as well as other additional fees are being borne by me).
When do you think will be appropriate for me to quit this job after my 1-140 and 1-1485 have been filed? Please advice me on this because my initially promised to pay for all the expenses but denied this after I have taken up the job.[/QUOTE]

When you get the statement from an India bank, ask them to include the USD amount as of that date. That way you have both USD and INR amount in the statement.

I applied for my EAD in July 2007, got it approved Oct 2007, mailed to me but I NEVER received it.
Today I called USCIS and it says that since it is not "returned to them as undeliverable", they CAN NOT do anything . I will need to APPLY for it again??
Please Help since I dont know what to do as I was expecting the EAD card to start a new job.

Unfortunatley Dems have not shown much zeal which conveys that Immigration Reform is one of their important agenda.
That is my point. House majority leader listed the priorities and immigration is not there. If immigration is not taken up in early-mid '07 it will be difficult to bring it up later � it will be presidential primary season and all candidates will try to position themselves to garner maximum party �base� votes. CIR is controversial to say the least and politicians may skip it to avoid any controversy. Our best bet was SKIL bill; in the new congress it has to be re-introduced and discussed. May not be possible - especially if there is a proposal to bring back CIR. Currently our best bet may be some interim measures during Jan-Feb when appropriation are taken up again (BTW is this right? Does appropriations are extended only until Feb 15th there will be similar bills before that? Can immigration related aspects can be attached to one such if possible).

We did check that. What we wanted was I.T project manager, but it got classified as CIS Manager.
We cannot change the job from Project manager to Computer systems analysts.
I am going to be promoted as Project manager, so we need to get a PM role.

Also, Can anyone tell if we can mail both AP/EAD in the same package to the same address? It shows differnet PO Box numbers for teh EAD TSC and AP TSC.

Is there a way to check if your case has been pre adjudicated. My 485 doesn't show any LUD since oct 2008. We changed address at the time. I thought that would result in a soft LUD. Nothing since then. My priority date is Jan 2007- EB2-I.

Mailroom indeed has to check all the documents(after cutting envelope from 3 sides, per operating manual). if clerk is not able to findout our checks then we are out of luck. wait for PD has to be current and refile.

Hi,
I have two I-140 applications and both are from my current emplyer. One was a regular I-140 and the other was a substitute I-140. Both got approved on the same day. Regular had a PD of 04/2007 and substitute had 11/2004.
The regular got approved with PD of 04/2007 and substitute also got approved with 04/2007. So now what are my options of using the 11/2004 PD.
I was expecting USCIS to approve both applications with 11/2004 instead.

I don't think you can do anything, just go with what is given to you by CIS. Because any attempt to mess with dates may hurt your case very badly.
One question though. The sub practice is long gone (no more allowed since 2007), is this an old case?

Also, Employment through CP is really an anormalty in EB, since EB basically requires you to be physically present in this country, so almost bars the possibility of CP. No hard feelings. I just really need to get back on my feet, since I am relatively busy I just got my own place, and I really need an idea to set me in motion. I am not a spontaneous artist in any sense at all.
There are many members here, who are looking to get better and get some experience just like you. Maybe you can team up with someone, and do some cool projects to build a portfolio, etc.
Also you should make yourself a website displaying your work that you have now.

You should be ashamed to use LC subs and bragging about it here. People like you are making the whole things worse. When you get your I-140 rejected you can start nagging about how unfair the system is !!

Hi,
We sailed in the same boat.I did not get my fpnotice and my husband got.We called uscis and came to know that my appointment is scheduled on the same day and at same time along with my husband.So as per uscis customer representative's instructions,We took the xerox of the lawyer's copy of my fp notice and attended my scheduled fp y'day and everything went fine.Had i not called USCIS and enquire about my fp appointment,i would have missed the appointment waiting for the fp notice.
Iam not sure if u have attorney,so,First thing,u need to do is call USCIS and findout if ur wife is scheduled on the same day as urs and if it is on same day,she can attend the fp appointment along with u,as u anyways hold the good copy of urs.Thats what the customer rep told me.If USCIS had already mailed her Fp notice and u have not recieved yer, she needs to find her ASC notice number and code number from USCIS to attend the fingerprinting.
