There is nothing wrong in converting from EB3 to EB2 , if you are qualified . How long you are going to wait in EB3 ?

Use your DigiCam
Take pictures on white/light Background
Focus till your waist ( important ).
Then take the card/chip to walmart.
Use the photocenter/kiosk there,
opt for wallet size,$.28 ( each wallet order will print 2 pictures in it )
autoadjust / manual contrast for extra brightness and print it.
collect in 1/2 hr, cut the pictures as needed.
I paid $2 total.

my 485 got denied lastweek as my previous employer withdrawn approved 140. I changed employer after 1year of 485 pending. I am filing MTR..

If you are independent contractor you can take some allowed expenses. If you are salaried employee you need to show loss for getting some benefit. Generally if you show loss for 3 years continously then IRS mostly deny on third year. In any case if you take too much expense you are inviting audit and that is going to be nightmare. I do not think it is a good idea to start a company just for expenses unless you are going to do business. Atleast you should be doing independent contracting(corp to Corp).

HI, I am new to this forum, so pardon me if my question is an old one. Please direct me to the correct thread in that case.
I am currently working on my EAD for past years since July fiasco. I have over 12 years of experience. My employer who originally filed for my GC, had filed it for EB3 since then I did not meet the requirements for EB2. (I do not have a master's degree)
I have 12+ years of experience now and am working for a big pharma company on my EAD since. I filed for AC21 and left my original employer three years back and since then I have been working for the same company as a senior technical Lead.
I do not have a valid H1-B any longer. Is it possible for me to do EB3 to EB2 porting. What are the requirements and would I need my current company to file for me, or can I do it on my own through lawyer?

I think as long as she is pending AOS status, she should be fine. But I don't think H4 will be eligible for FAFSA. But if you filed tax jointly and your income is good then she will not get FAFSA funding, HOWEVER, she will get FAFSA loan (subsidized and unsubsidized). Subsidized loan is loan you don't pay interest until you graduate.
During FAFSA application, you need to submit I-94 and it will verify your status I believe. I have seen people getting FAFSA approval for pending AOS without any problem.
