Something I notice here and would like to get your opinions..
People who donate their time and money to IV, understand and appreciate the efforts by IV volunteers to fix the broken immigration system do not usually get into this guessing game. Am I wrong?

No.. You can file under EB2? I dont know where you hered that from, my friend is about to file his EB2 he is in his advertisement stage.
Second thing.. Who told you that the EB2 is current, EB2 is sitting at 11 Jan 2003 and for 5 months now. No body knows when will it move and how many days it will move......
Even EB2 NIW is also in the same situation so how is your lawyer saying it is current. I guess you are lawyer is a barber.
FYI--EB2 is current for all contries other then India and China.

Significant movement in EB2, possibly back to September Bullietin dates i.e. Aug 2006

Since my PD only became current in May that was the earliest I could apply so my processing time is not unusual. The ones who are getting approved within three months are the unusual cases.

I checked with a lawyer once and she told me that you do not need paystubs for her. you need a paystub for yourself because you should be in status. dont know if all lawyers would agree.

Also, this is useful for Priority Date portability, Priority Date is all your once your I-140 is aproved and you need to submit the copy with your next I-140 to use the old Priority Date, in this case also, it very useful if the employer does not share this info, and if we can get it from USCIS, we are not at the mercy of Employer anymore.
If you are seeking your i-140 for portability reasons, this means that you have already submitted I-485.
Since that is the case, then who cares if the employer will or will not revoke the I-140: IT IS STILL VIABLE for AC21 portability regardless of employer's actions.

In its note http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/VisaBulletin2Jul07.pdf, the USCIS clearly says it would reject applications starting 7/2. So, how can it accept July applications--especially when many of them haven't been sent yet?

I think if you have long term plans in India this fall and probably more appreciation of Rupee will make US less attractive. This 5-6% fall has shaved off my appraisal in a way :)

There are a flock of spending bills that are coming up for a vote this month and next and this is the ideal time for legislation of this sort to get attached to such a bill.

This process is a mockery of the PD cutoff dates, but that's how it works. If you sent your case on June 28, 07, with July 2, 07 as the printed Receive Data on your receipt, but the case where it finally rested, was entered in their database on Oct. 28, '07 (with a Notice Date soon thereafter), you case will not be looked at, no matter what the PD cutoff date is, unless all cases received before Oct. 28, '07 have been reviewed.

Great Chance! I am not sure how much of time we will be given. I agree that communication skills are of tantamount importance to the substance that we plan on putting forth. How about folks who have done our presentation earlier? We need statistics/numbers and our presentation material bears that or, we could garner more. I do not believe in short-changing any of the objectives. Priority may change but all provisions are core. As a case study then, we let an individual to present himself. That way the whole presentation is broad-based and goes as planned.
Also, please factor in that this could well turn out to be an interactive session later. (Some may be out to shoot us ;) )With the amount of superlative material already flowing across the forum and the drive within us, we are definitely upto it! Please plan on carrying a slide that lists prominent immigrants who are success stories (Kalpana Chawla !).
Is there a way we could get to see how many of us folks hold an Advanced degree? Any IITians around for the show? Let's conference around and get to the nitty-gritty details, dress code, way of formal addressing, hand-outs et al., and run the rehearsal (s) by QGA.

Lets make a template of it (it should be the same color and pattern but with different font) and remove all the vital information. (name, ssn etc.. ) and make a generic one. Lets download .. sign it by many and send it to them and Print it there on BOLD "Change our status and give us our residency soon"...
this way we prove that we are LEGALS and we will create publicity

In EAD form, they are asking about previous EAD info..like which service center, what date, GRANTED or REJECTEd etc.. Now I had two EADs..one is OPT and other one I got last year. Do I have to write info for both one or just for last year?? In last year's form, I wrote info about my OPT. But what now?
According to my thinking:
I would type the information related to the COPY OF EAD that you are sending now.
OR
I would type the information related to the EAD which is of most use to you.
Also dont only listen to people on this forum.

PD = Date on which your labor application received.
My 140 says it is the date on which my labor application received. i believe it is the case with all.
Please contact USCIS to get that corrected.
